The baby blanket bonanza continues with a new little person blanket taking center stage for the MadhuKnitsandCooks.com Post 300! (cheers, applause)
This latest blanket was for baby Anaga, who like baby Veda, lives in India. Given that both children probably will not want for heat this spring and summer, I again turned to the Lion Brand cotton bamboo yarn I had purchased in bulk last summer. However, for this blanket, I decided to switch up the color and use an ivory or off-white shade instead of the lovely leafy green I had been using.
For this pattern, I also decided to switch it up by turning to Ravelry instead of my standard baby blanket book. I found a great pattern – more details below – that seemed like it would be a good lace pattern for this weight of yarn, and went to the races because I had already had the gauge locked down. The blanket ended up knitting up fairly quickly and seamlessly, and looked pretty fantastic early in the process. So, all in all, a pleasant experience from start to finish!
